Air Casters

Air casters are used to move heavy loads on flat surfaces and they are also known as pneumatic lifting devices. Air casters are similar to hovercrafts, which use a thin layer of air to float on surfaces, these types of casters look like air bags.

Air casters work on a phenomenon in which a bag creates an airtight seal with the ground, and thus it contains lots of air. More gas is enforced into torus center that is inside an air caster and it pushes its way under the airbag to lift from the ground. The compressed air inside air casters allows the airbag to push and lift some millimeters above the ground.

Air casters have some limitations such as, it requires a smooth and non-porous surface in- order to lift from surface, thus it will allows it to work properly. Air casters will not work on cracks and other surfaces and it requires proper flow of air, due to these reasons, Air casters are not useful for manufacturing applications where the surfaces are non-porous; it also requires proper connection to provide a continuous flow of compressed air.

These types of casters are useful for handling and load lifting industry. Normally three or more Air casters are used to lift load of more than 500 pounds. These types of casters are strong and durable load modules and they are useful to move heavy loads from one location to another.

Casters of this genre provide the fastest and most cost effective solutions to move heavy loads. They come under variety of load modules according to customer needs; this includes loads such as square aluminum, round steel, air transporters, aluminum air beams and air jacks. Air casters are useful to carry heavy loads of any shape and size.
