The dry rot is formed due to the accumulation of the moisture and water. It can also start when there is excess of these elements. These elements are the cause of the formation during the season of rain and winters. When the basement is receives the maximum effect of the rain there is a notice of the formation of moisture inside. The rot is caused when the fungal attack is frequent. So it is the result of the frequent water remains. Especially it is found in the basement of a house. When the water is filled in those areas it is very difficult to clean them. After the water is dried then proper ventilation is required.

When sufficient amount of air not provided to the place fungus is formed all over the walls. The walls become wet with a bit of moisture. Even it spreads to all the material in the room. At the time of the drying proper heating techniques are to be applied. In the winters due to the reason of fog the widow pane and upper part of doors gets wet which later on takes the form of dry rot. Some of the necessary steps have are required for the prevention of the dry rot. The procedure of the prevention should be made at the very beginning level. When it becomes wet, it needs to be allowing to dry first then, the whole place requires provision of proper ventilation.

The ventilation is very essential in the basement. The curtains are to be removed and the things that are covered with cloth has to be washed properly otherwise later on they may stink. These fungi appear in white and grey in color and then slowly they take the shape of dry rot. This damages the walls for which the cure can be white washing. When dry rot extends then immediate precautionary measures become necessary. The basements should consist of the windows and they are to be opened and closed timely. With the proper heating techniques of basement the walls get dried whereby the case of dry rot does not arise. Maintaining these types of procedures will help to get rid of the problem of dry rot.
