Braking Caster

Braking caster can be used in number of applications. The most popular types of braking casters are as follows:

Side locking braking caster: It is an economical braking caster, which compresses the core of the yoke and creates resistance upon the hub of the wheel.

Universal wheel braking caster: It helps to lock the tread of the wheel. The wheel lock can be adjusted with the help of this caster. On this type of caster, the brake is pre welded.

Top locking braking caster: It creates positive braking in the wheel. It has polyurethane coating which offers superb finish. It fits easily to larger foot pedal.

Thumb screw braking caster: This can be engaged manually. You need to just turn the rugged screw for the purpose of engaging to the wheel hub.

Double locking braking caster: It engages positive action in the tread of the wheel. It helps in swivel locking also. It is made up of stainless steel.

Side locking braking caster: It requires positive action against wheel hub. It is easy to operate and easy to access. It is made up of stainless steel material.

Nylon braking casters: These casters are easy to install. This helps to lock the chair when it is unoccupied. However, Industrial series nylon braking caster should be used for a chair or stool over the height of 21 inches only.

Task Master Nylon braking casters have set of two casters that can be use to lock when the chair in not occupies. It is also easy to install. It should be used only with chair or stool having more than 27 inches height. They work well in most of the floor surfaces.

Set of reverse braking caster is available from Task Master in order to lock the chair when it is occupied. It is very easy to install. Reverse braking caster is not recommended for the floor with carpet. However, it works better in tiles, wood and concrete.

You should remember that even the best braking caster might subject to wear and tear. Hence, they require proper maintenance in order to get better life span.
