Dry Rot Polymer

Dry rot is the deterioration of wooden structures and decks that are exposed to outer elements since long time. The wood deteriorates due to the presence of moisture or wet environments. Dry rot is a wood decaying fungi that outbreaks in moist environment. When wood is in contact with ground or when there is condensation or a leakage problem these factors cause dry rot. Boats that are made of wood are susceptible to dry rot. This can be controlled by the application of preservative solutions. Dry rot indicates both poor maintenance and inspection.

The polymer that prevents dry rot

The metal reinforced polyurethane shoe that protects the lower end of wood support system from water or the moisture content in the atmosphere. The high density polymer embedded in a rust resistant metal mesh and attached at the bottom surface of the wood support system with the help of wood screw or fastner. Thus protecting the wood support system from water and moisture that is accumulated on the wet surface and this helps in preventing the dry rot at the lower end of the wood support system. To protect the lower end of the wood support systems by the help of a high density metal reinforced polyurethane shoe support. The beams ceiling joints, walkways and staircases by means of wood support systems.

Using the polymer embedded with wood

The problem occurs when the surfaces on which the wood support system rests is influenced by periodic accumulation of water or moisture that results in the lower end of the wood being repeatedly wet and dried. Usually when the wood is cut and if the environmental conditions are wet and if the wood is exposed to wet environment there is a possibility that the wood fibers get wet. This wood that is exposed to wet environment are prone to dry rot. It becomes absolutely necessary to replace the wood support system within the building. There is a new invention of the metal reinforced polyurethane shoe that helps one in preventing the problem by keeping the lower end of the wood support system from the direct contact of wet surface.
