Did you ever wish to have something unique or unusual in your garden? Then why don’t shift your attention to edible flower gardening. By planting the edible flowers in your garden, your garden will obviously appear beautiful with a rich fragrance but you’ll also have flowers that will taste delicious. Edible flowers can be grown in containers also, if you are falling short of space.

Edible flowers are the flowers that are grown without the use of any chemicals. Therefore, these flowers are free from chemical residues. For the growth of edible flowers, chemical fertilizers and pesticides are completely avoided. The cultural requirement for growing the edible flowers is same as to that of the other flowers. There is a wide variety found in the types of edible flowers that are grown in your garden. These flowers besides from being edible are also palatable. They add beauty to your food.

Pick up the edible flowers when they are completely open during the cool time of the day. This time should be after the evaporation of the dew that has settled on it during early dawn. After picking up these long stemmed flowers, place them in water and then store them in a cool place. You can use these flowers for decorating your dishes and also can eat them, too.

They are available in different shapes and sizes. The different edible flowers that you can plant in your garden are: borage, daylilies, carnations, pansies, violets, angelica, roses, and many more. Pansy Bloom is edible flower that tastes very good besides giving you a lovely fragrance. You can consume the entire flower.
