Fiesta Dinnerware
Fiesta dinnerware sets are most popularly known for their vibrant glazed colors and their choice for mix and match dinnersets! At the time of the introduction of fiesta dinnerware or fiestaware as called by its customers, the designs and decorations of dinnerware and kitchenware ceramics were heavily influenced by the Victorian era selling full predetermined sets and everything decorated with the same decal designs.
So at that point of time Fiesta represented something radically new to the general public with its solid color glazes and mix-and-match concept though the texture of the original glazes, was semi-opaque.
Without any shining glare yet smooth and glossy looking almost like an eggshell like, the dinnerware did sometimes show areas of uneven glazing where a heavy application of glaze material meets a lighter one. Its increasing popularity gave a wide variety to choose from. In the beginning five solid colors, red, blue, green, yellow, and torquoise were produced.
Then due to falling markets many attempts were made to re-invent the business but failed. Owing to the increasing number of special dinnerware collector's fiestaware was produced in four new trendy glaze colors, rose, gray, forest, and chartreuse, which caught up with the falling market and continued keeping the color assortment in production with its glaze texture and pattern smoother, harder and much shinier than on the original vintage Fiesta.
The new Fiesta has remained popular ever since its introduction and has inspired a collector mentality. Fiestawares usually use bowls that are good looking enough for entertaining at the same time durable enough to withstand everyday use and many of these sets allow us to pick separate colors for forming creative tables.
Styles that are good looking enough for entertaining but also durable so as to withstand everyday use and a good range of temperature are good choices as they are safe for use in dishwasher and microwave and can endure a wide range of temperatures. The colors of the fiesta dinnerware standing alone in bold brilliance look dramatically elegant on the dining table.
