To locate bird feeder at proper place is very challenging task. Bird feeder is one thing which bird always uses to visit. Bird feeder is one which attracts many birds towards it. It is good practice to have bird feeder in yard which gives very healthy environment for wildlife. Many people use to hang bird feeder near to windows so that they can view birds from short distance. But putting bird feeder never attracts bird, they get scared of man, so very few birds visit to feeder. It is always good practice to put feeder away from windows. Normally hummingbird feeders placed near window so as to watch from short distance which gives fun.

If one place feeder near windows, there are very much chances of colliding birds with glass and let them died. It is very much necessary to think before locating bird feeder at any place. All environment factors have to be taken in to consideration before placing feeder at any place. Main important thing is feeder should get good protection of trees and shrubs, as feeder keep in that place birds also realize security over there. One birds find it secure lot of birds use to come to visit feeder. One very important thing to take in consideration, it should not reach by neighbors or any human beings so easily. Normally feeder should not be hanged, because it may make problem. Problems like overweight of some bird may fall it down. Generally it is used to keep in branches or shrubs which gives, it support from both sides. Bird feeder doesn't use to heavy but overweight on them may make them problem. If it get problem it takes time to repair.

It is also possible to place feeder near windows, but there are some things which has to follow if one has to attract birds. One has to think for color of window as well as for the curtain color. Walk outside of home and look what kind of illusion takes place at window at different timing throughout the day, accordingly try to brighten the dark rooms.
