How To Clean Garage Doors And Floor

Everybody wants a clean and neat garage. In order to achieve that care should be taken to clean the garage floor as well as the door. After organizing the clutter in the garage and installing cabinets you should look at floor of the garage.

Normally you would find lots of stains on the floor. First thing to do is use a degreaser. Wait for sometime so the solution will work on the stains. After waiting for sometime rinse the floor thoroughly. You might have to use concrete etching product which will remove rust and heavy stains. After you clean the floor you should make sure that it is dried properly.

After cleaning the garage floor if you paint it, the entire look of your garage will change. And perhaps you can use the space as entertainment room when there are lots of guests in the house.

After you clean the garage floor properly look at the garage door. That needs cleaning as well. The cleaning of the door depends on what kind of garage door you have. If it is a pre-finished steel garage door you can use a diluted solution of bleach or any household detergent. After you clean the dust, mildew and dirt from the door use the cleaning solution. Rinse the door thoroughly with water. And allow the door to dry completely. The inside of the garage door can be wiped clean. As an extra protection you can use the car wax on the door. This will keep the door in good condition.

If the garage door is wood door and if it is in good condition, you first clean the dust and mildew with a mild detergent. Make sure the door is completely dry.

If the wood door shows any signs of erosion take care of that first before you try the cleaning solution. If the eroded part of the door is left unattended then you are in for trouble. You should do the priming to the door. This will stop the damage. If you apply finish coating to the door it will not only look good but will stay good as well.
