A number of flowers are linked with a specific season in the year. This is the time when they start blooming are readily available in bright, attractive colors.

The word seasonal literally means depending on a particular season. There are some flowers that grow only in a particular season, at a particular time. Such flowers are called seasonal flowers. You can have a seasonal flower garden in your house. Sometimes your eyes may get bored looking at the same flower garden. At such times, your garden can be easily replaced and personalized by planting seasonal flowers in your garden.

The seasonal flowers complete their life-cycle in only one season. So they can be easily changes as well as bright look to your flower garden. These flowers are called as sun-lovers and they generally grow in the month of March and April. Some common flowers that grow during this season are aster, ageratum, cone flower, dahlia, rose-moss, sunflower, celosia, marigold, floss flower, gourds, zinnia, morning glory, and many more.

You should use your creativity while deciding the location of the flowers. Like, for example, if you plant the tall plants at the back and the bright, colorful seasonal flowers in the front; it will provide a charming background to your garden and will also refresh the flower garden.

Fall is considered as a very busy time for your flower garden. The flowering in the garden ceases down as frost destroys the leaves and freezes down the delicate, tender plants. So you should:

Dig and store the tubers, tender bulbs and rhizomes. These tender plants will not be able to survive the cold climatic conditions. They should be allowed to freeze during the winters and then replace them during the spring. Or you can either dig and store them in your indoors, so that they can survive. For e.g. the tubers of the Dahlia plant should be dug in the Fall and then save it for the entire winter to replant it in the next spring.

Seasonal flowers can change the entire look of your garden. If you plant seasonal flowers in your flower garden, everytime you look at your garden, you will get to see something very novel and very exclusive. The only thing is you have to use your imagination capacity to its fullest potentials.
