In this article we are going to discuss about the seeds of flowering plants there characteristics, their viability and many other things:

There may be many questions in your mind about the seeds of the plants especially the flowering plants. Since many of the flowering plants have very small seeds so it is very difficult to handle them. Note that it is not impossible to grow these seeds once you known the proper technique through the agency of proper guidance. There may be many questions in your mind. For example are the seeds easy to grow? What is exactly in a seed etc to answer all these questions is the purpose of this article. Let us start one by one.

Seeds are very easy to grow even a child can grow them the main reason for this is that the seeds have a natural desire to grow. If you want more information then you can read the explanation given at the back of the seed packet.

Seed mainly consists of a mature ovule of a particular plant of which the seed is. The characteristic of all the seeds is that it contains all the necessary genetic information which is useful for the plant to grow. This genetic information is similar to the information of the parent plant with some useful variations. The seed also consists of stored food for the growing plant in the form of fats that is oils or in the form of starch. When faced with suitable growing conditions then the seed sprouts and then starts to grow. Seeds come in all the different sizes and shapes.

Form where do the seeds come form?

The seeds of all the plants are produced in the ovary of the flower when the pollination of the flower takes place. The number of seeds produced by the plant varies naturally for example Impatiens produces a thousand seeds with the help of just one flower while the seeds produced by the lima beans are just two or three seeds in a pod.

Note that the seeds of most of the plants need a starting of indoor environment. This especially true for the plants which do grow slowly. In addition to the plants which have their growing season shorter.

Note that always the use of organic seeds is very useful for the users.

Germination:

The term germination means that the seeds take in Water and swell until it shoots and then it is able to make its own food by photosynthesis.
