Tools For Cutting Grass

Grass grows very fast and evenly all around the garden even without no maintenance at all. Sometimes this grass is unwanted grass or it hastens the beauty of your garden and so it needs to be cut off.

The different tools for cutting grass are:

* Grass Shears- the three main processes involved in cutting the grass are draw the cut, scissor action and then the leverage assisted action. It consists of two blades one on the lower side and the other on the upper side. These blades have to be operated by a squeezing action upwards and downwards on the handle. They contain a safety lock for holding the blades together when they are not in use. Also cordless grass shears that work on electricity are available nowadays. They have a long handle to minimize your efforts in bending. They have become very popular these days.

* Lawn Mover- it is an instrument that is used for cutting the grass and other unwanted plants from your garden upto an even height. It consists of revolving blades to do the action. The rotating blades cut the grass very fast and it requires no time and energy at all.

* Grass Trimmer- it is used for the cutting of very tall grasses and weeds. It has a double edge. The blade is made up of serrated steel that cuts the grass in the forward direction and then returns back to its normal position with a swing.

* Lopping Shears- they have a long handle and the blade is made up of tempered and hard tool blades made up of steel. They eat away through their way under the heavy grasses and the weeds.

* Weed Cutter- it is made up of a 30" handle of hardwood. It is used for cutting the unwanted grasses and the weeds that are growing in your garden. The blade is made up of steel that swings forward and backward for cutting the grass.

* Grass Hook- the grass hook is also an equipment that is designed for cutting the tall grasses in your garden. It has a steel blade that is curved on the lower side. It functions like a hook.
