Types Of Birds Seeds

There are many seed s available for birds. Depending on the birds choice they like to eat that. Some seed used rich in oil. Some black oil sunflower seed gives energy to live. It used to thin shell which makes it easy to get open easily by birds. It is also possible to open for small birds. These can be offered in Hopper or Tube Type bird feeder. There are various kinds of birds which can be attracted by seeds like Finches, Cardinals, Nuthaches and many more. Let's look at some seed which usually feed to birds.

Hulled Sunflower Seed- Its shell has been removed. It normally offered in Squirrel proof bird seeder, it cost is also high. It is good practice to provide sunflower seed because it doesn't provide any harm to birds. Finch birds like Thistle and Nyjer very much. It is available in most places of India and Africa. It is highly used in Canary mixes and now common food for wild bird. Finches birds get very much attracted towards Nyjer rather than Sunflower seed. To offer these seed to birds, small ports are needed.

Striped Sunflower oil is cheaper as compare to other seeds. Most of the birds prefer to striped black oil. It is to be place on some platform so that it should not get catches by Squirrels. Cracked Corn is available through out year. It attracts birds like Jays, Pheasants and many other birds. If you put cracked corn it is possible to attract more birds to your yard. It is easily available at any store or feed supplier.

Mixes is kind of mix which contains mixture of different seed which normally attracts birds. It is normally consist of black oil sunflower, millet, sunflower and many other mixes. Cheap Mixes are kind of mixture of seed which normally didn't attract birds. It generally consists of red and white milo, wheat, cracked corn, striped sunflower and many more. Suet seeds, generally is not a bird feed material. Many birds get attracted towards it suet seed. It is made u from beef fat.
