Using Natural Way To Grow Trees In Home Orchard

The home orchard is the plantation of the fruits trees in the home backyard. For this purpose, you can use either artificial methods, or natural methods. The artificial methods are easier to use and they show the effects quicker than the natural methods. However, there are some long-term disadvantages of the artificial methods. These include pollution, and damaging the quality of your home's backyard soil. In addition to this, the chemicals from the artificial methods assimilate in the plants and they enter our body when, we eat the fruits from these plants. Therefore, they can harm our health. Therefore, it is very important that, we use the natural methods.

You can use the natural methods for the following practices

Planting

While planting even though many artificially developed varieties are available in you can use the natural varieties of the plants. This can be useful as the artificially developed varieties may have some mutations in them and they may have become harmful for consumption. Therefore, it is best to plant the local varieties.

Fertilizers

You can use the natural fertilizers in the orchards. There are many advantages of this. They are very cheap and easily available. Also in addition to this, it improves the texture of the soil. It makes the soil softer, and increases the water holding capacity of the soil. In addition, the most important thing is that they will not affect the soil quality. The excessive use of the artificial fertilizers increases the salt content of the soil; and therefore the soil becomes unsuitable for growth of plants after some days.

The natural fertilizers are the manures, compost, humus, or animal and plant wastes etc.

Pesticides

The artificial pesticides are toxic and they may assimilate in the soil or the plants. From there they enter our body. They remain in the environment for a long time and they affect the flora and fauna of the region.

In addition, they are very costly. Therefore, you should use the natural pesticides and avoid these problems.

The natural pesticides may be either the substances that have a source from plants, or animals. In addition, there are some biological methods like using the predators and parasites for the pests, preventing them from coming to the orchard by removing the unhealthy parts of the plants, or using traps etc.

In addition to this, the natural practices like pruning, cutting, mulching, also enhance the production and quality of the fruits and the plants. You should also protect the plants from the physical factors like the snow, excessive temperature, etc.
